Shelby Kennedy was born in Dallas, Texas in 1943, he grew up in Houston. He majored in Fine Arts at the University of Texas, Austin from 1964 to 1966. He moved to San Francisco in 1966 to attend he San Francisco Art Institute where he earned his BFA in Sculpture/Ceramics and MFA in Film Making in 1969 and 1971 respectively. Shelby has resided in Cloverdale since 2000, he established his ceramic and sculpture studio there in 2002. Prior to that, Shelby was a student and artist living in San Francisco from 1966 to 2000. |
