Title: Alchemist Dilemma

Artist: Stan Huncilman

Free Form Sculpture
Stan Huncilman combines child-like playfulness with an ingenious primitivism. He creates a wonderland of intriguing forms and convoluted messages. There is a signpost ahead reading, "Linear Thinking Stops Here." Mr. Huncilman's vade mecum opens the door to an incomparable world of nutritiously puzzling paradigms whose roots may be in religion, folk art, nineteenth century industrialism or Greek mythology. In this world, a whimsical sense of humor walks arm in arm with an obstinate determination to create.

"The Alchemist's Dilemma" is a comment on the process of creativity. For artist sculpture is not only the transmutation of material per se that enriches his life but the subtle transmutation of the creator's mind. No matter how powerful the hands are there is another effect never far away floating within the ether. He is in transit though his vehicle is a stationary object in the quotidian realm.
