THE DAVID LUNING BAND
On Thursday, March 17, the Cloverdale Arts Alliance is pleased to present Americana Night with artist/producer David Luning and his band. Luning’s music has been called “gritty, joyful, soulful Americana.” His earnest songwriting, lively storytelling, and rich, captivating voice will have you believing you’re listening to a hardened veteran of Nashville.
Luning’s debut album, Just Drop on By was released to rave reviews and has garnered numerous film placements and many songwriting awards. His live show has been described as “high energy, fun, yet with a full spectrum of emotional content.” After his 2014 American Idol performance of In Hell I Am, Jennifer Lopez commented, “I love it. He has a really, really beautiful tone.” Keith Urban praised the performance, saying, “You have staunch originality, no one’s doing what you do.”
David writes, records and performs all original songs. He can entertain and delight large crowds, performing solo with just guitar and harmonica. For events calling for a killer band, he plays with three amazing musicians: Dave Sampson, Ben Dubin and Linden Reed.
